Have you ever wondered why you learn some things better than others? It may depend on your individual learning style.

Your learning style influences the way that you understand information. There are 4 types of learners: Visual, Aural, Read/write, and Kinesthetic.

  • Visual learners like to use visual aids like pictures, images, diagrams and colors.
  • Aural learners like to use sound and music to digest information.
  • Read/write learners learn best through the use of words.
  • Kinesthetic learners learn by doing.

While a person might have stronger abilities in one area, we actually probably use a mix of several learning styles in real life situations. A great way to engage multiple learning styles is to use an approach that includes videos, reading, audio, exercises, and social interaction.
